At an hour from Nice, the Roya Valley is the last French valley before the Italian border. The river symbolizes the demarcation between the two countries. It is at the Col de Tende in the Alpes-Maritimes that the river takes its source, and sixty kilometers later it joins the Mediterranean Sea at Ventimiglia. Breil-sur-Roya, true capital of wildwater sports, is located in the heart of the valley and is the starting point for the canyons that we propose.

Maglia and Carleva, two unforgettable experiences.
For all lovers of canyoning, the Maglia canyon is a must to do. A short downhill walk (15 minutes) dives us into the first basins. Nature here is perfect for canyoneer because jumps, swimming and slides follow each other. Key passages such as the washing machine, the ten-meter slide, abseiling in a huge cave will give you thrills and good memories. The waterfalls gives a technical touch to this already sporty descent.
With the valley of the Carleva we have enough to satisfy the most athletic of you. This course is recommended in spring and early summer to enjoy a good level of water. Accessible by a steep approach walk of two hours long, the descent into the river that follows is four kilometers ! The swimming parts are less important and often replaced by walking and down climbing parts in the rocks. The size and quantity of waterfalls will quickly make you forget tired. The pure and clear water is ideal for jumps and big slides, the longest of which are ten meters long. It is a really sporty and enduring course.
